January 5, 2008 - December 31, 2008 Santa Clara Farmers Market - Open All Year Round!
The Downtown Santa Clara Farmers Market is now open ALL YEAR ROUND! The market opens every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The popular activity is on Jackson Street between Benton and Homestead. This market is certified, meaning the participants only sell food items they have produced themselves. The "Growers Certificate" hanging at the farmer's stand is issued by the County Agriculture Commissioner authorizing the farmer to sell only the certain crops listed and grown by them. February 20, 2008 - December 31, 2008 New Exhibits at Intel Museum
“Arti,” an artificial intelligence robot, talks with museum guides to help tell the fascinating story about how Intel’s technology helps teachers and students in South Africa. Visitors can also catch a handful of “binary rain,” representing the data created by emails, cell phones, video, and more. In addition, you can “get digitized” as your digital photo is snapped and a digital postcard is created. The museum also provides maps in multiple languages that provide a quick review of each exhibit. In all, the museum features over 30 fun, interactive exhibits. Admission is FREE.
